Margaretta, Lady Scarlet, Kimiko and Queen’s Covenant caught the eye when they were exercised at Pune on Saturday morning, October 3. Trainers recorded work across distances from 600m up to 1600m during the session.

Starlight Serenade (Ajinkya) and Shadow Phoenix (Chetan Kalay) did 57, 600/42 and were labelled a pair easy, and Angelisa (A. Prakash) returned 52, 600/39 and moved well. Inevitable (Aditya) and American Eagle (Mosin) clocked 56, 600/41 and were level together.
Leading Light (Avinash) posted 52, 600/38 and moved well; Little John (Gore) did 54, 600/39 and moved fluently, while Thundering Phoenix (Santosh) posted 53, 600/39 and worked freely. Menorca (N. Bhosale) and Café Noire (Neeraj) recorded 49, 600/38 with the former finishing two lengths ahead; Styx (T.S. Jodha) and Ricochet (P. Vinod) did 51, 600/38 with Styx finishing well clear. Jumanah (Dashrath) and Santana Row (Santosh) returned 55, 600/41, Jumanah ending two lengths in front.
At 1000m Sir Churchill (Ajinkya) and David (Dashrath) posted 1-8, 800/53, 600/39 with the former one length better; Iron Mirage (Chetan Kalay) did 1-9, 800/53, 600/38 and moved fluently. Manwar (S. Kamble) recorded 1-8, 800/53, 600/40 and moved well; Acropolis (Siddharth) logged 1-10, 800/55, 600/41 and was described as easy. D’ Artagnan (Kirtish) 1-6, 800/51, 600/38 moved nicely; Bishop (A. Prakash) 1-9, 800/53, 600/40 worked well; Nebula (T.S. Jodha) 1-9, 8800/53, 600/39 moved freely. Golden Dancer (Mosin) and It’s My Time (N. Bhosale) did 1-5, 800/51, 600/38 with the former two lengths better; Foxy (T.S. Jodha) 1-7, 800/51, 600/38 moved well; Absolute Serenity (N.B. Kuldeep) 1-6, 800/52, 600/39 worked well. New Star (Peter) and Sky Bound (S.J. Sunil) posted 1-5, 800/50, 600/37 with New Star strode out well and finished two lengths ahead.
Over 1200m Dedication (Mosin) and Tempest (Aditya) recorded 1-23, 1000/1-7, 800/52, 600/39 with Dedication judged superior; Margaretta (Kirtish) posted 1-19, 1000/1-4, 800/49, 600/37 and was described as having moved impressively. Field Of Gold (Prasad) did 1-21, 1000/1-6, 800/52, 600/39 and moved nicely. In the 1400m Jaandaar (Kirtish) and Britannia (A. Prakash) returned 1-38, 1200/1-22, 1000/1-7, 800/52, 600/39 with the former starting two lengths behind and finishing level.
At another 1000m Nashville (T.S. Jodha) and Empower (Omkar) posted 1-8, 800/52, 600/39 with Nashville slowly off and finishing a length in front; Kimiko (J. Chinoy) recorded 1-3, 800/48, 600/36 and was noted as impressed. Queen’s Covenant (app) and Family Man (app) did 1-4, 800/49, 600/38 with Queen’s Covenant finishing four lengths ahead; Opus Dei (A. Prakash) and Tyrannus (C.S. Jodha) posted 1-5, 800/50, 600/38 with Opus Dei superior. At 1600m Gunsmoke (Peter) and Immortal Star (S.J. Sunil) returned 1-46, 600/37 with Gunsmoke easily finishing a length ahead and Immortal Star pushed. In a 1400m race Neutralist (A. Gaikwad), Rise All Stars (Siddharth), Golden Hues (Aditya), Talking Point (Peter) and Angelo (Shekhawat) posted 1-27, 600/36; the official note recorded winners’ margins as: 6, 3/4 and Dist, with Neutralist coming very well from third position and comfortably winning and Angelo slowly off by a distance.
