On Friday Lisandro Martínez apologised for an outburst about Manchester United in a live football update ahead of the Premier League weekend.

The coming domestic programme features an unusual scheduling coincidence: all four English clubs who were in European action the previous evening meet each other on Sunday, with Bournemouth facing Sunderland and Brighton taking on Crystal Palace; two Scottish sides who played in Europe the previous night also clash on Sunday, Hearts travelling to Celtic.

Table-topping, relegation-bound Manchester City will host Ipswich, while second-placed Arsenal travel to Nottingham Forest as part of the same weekend schedule.

Bournemouth, Fulham and Spurs are currently without a league victory this season; Fulham and Spurs will be attempting to obtain three points at home against promoted opponents.

Martínez begged forgiveness not for what he said about the shambles at Manchester United, but for the fact that the "time and place … perhaps were not the right ones".

The weekend opens with Fulham v Hull on Saturday, continues with Bournemouth v Sunderland and Brighton v Crystal Palace on Sunday, and concludes with Spurs v Coventry on Monday.
