Matches announced for WWE x AAA Heroes Inmortales 2026, including El Grande Americano vs Dominik Mysterio rematch
WWE and Lucha Libre AAA have announced the card for WWE x AAA Heroes Inmortales 2026, scheduled for October 24 at the Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City, with El Grande Americano defending the AAA Mega Championship against Dominik Mysterio among the matches confirmed so far.
The card was shaped by developments on the October 3 episode of AAA on Fox and will feature a mix of AAA regulars and WWE-associated names in several title matches; that episode produced results that directly led to at least one championship rematch being added to the lineup.
The headline bout slated for Heroes Inmortales is a rematch for the AAA Mega Championship, with current champion El Grande Americano set to face former titleholder Dominik Mysterio. Their rivalry dates back to Triplemania 34, where Americano defeated Dominik to capture the championship, and Dominik alongside Dorian Roldan later questioned Rey Mysterio’s involvement in the finish, arguing Rey’s officiating decision should not have allowed Americano to become champion.
On the October 3 broadcast, Americano teamed with Rey Mysterio against Dominik and Omos in a match described as having major implications; Dominik’s team won after Dominik struck Americano with the AAA Mega Championship, which earned Dominik another title opportunity at Heroes Inmortales.
Rey Fenix is also scheduled to defend the AAA Cruiserweight Championship at the event, though his opponent has not been finalized; the candidates named so far are Nobu San, Mini Vikingo, Jack Cartwheel and Joaquin Wilde. Fenix enters the announced matchup on the back of a successful title defence in a Fatal 4-Way at Triplemanía 34, where he defeated Mini Vikingo, Nathan Frazer and Jack Cartwheel.
The AAA World Trios Championship will be on the line as champions Los Perros del Mal — Daga, Angel and Berto — are booked to defend against the trio of La Parka, Mr. Iguana and Niño Hamburguesa. That trios contest was set up after Los Perros del Mal interfered in La Parka’s AAA Latin American Championship match against Mr. Iguana on the October 3 AAA broadcast, prompting Niño Hamburguesa to come to La Parka’s aid and leading to the announced title bout.
A non-match attraction confirmed for the card is the induction of Marisela Pena into the AAA Hall of Fame.
WWE x AAA Heroes Inmortales 2026 will take place on October 24 at the Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City; as per current announcements, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Omos and Joaquin Wilde are among the performers confirmed to be part of the event.
