Mehrajuddin Wadoo has selected a 23-member India U17 squad that will travel to Myanmar on October 2, 2026, for two closed-door friendly matches on October 4 and October 7 as part of preparations for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 Qualifiers.

The Blue Colts began a preparatory camp in Margao, Goa, in September ahead of the trip to Thanlyin, where the friendlies will be staged at the StarCity Sports Club. The matches are scheduled as part of the team's build-up to the qualifying campaign for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027.

Wadoo’s 23-player list includes three goalkeepers: Arnav Rajendra Pandhare, Maroof Shafi and Newtan Irengbam. The defenders named are Abhishek Kumar Mondal, Lawmsangzuala, Leo Thongbam, Malem Laishram, Malsawmtluanga, Yumnam Maldino Singh and Zoramdinthara. Midfield selections are Dallalmuon Gangte, Henthoiba Keisam, Irom David Mangang, Ningthoujam Mukundo Singh, R Lawmsangzuala and Thiyam Sambay, while the forwards are Hrishikesh Charan Manavathi, Jasmeet Singh, Kamgouhao Doungel, Md Sahir Ali, Rahan Ahmed, Raj Singh Wahengbam and Ristik Maity.

The two fixtures are scheduled to kick off at 14:00 IST on October 4 and at 14:00 IST on October 7, both listed as Myanmar vs India. The matches will be played behind closed doors at the StarCity Sports Club in Thanlyin.

The Blue Colts have been drawn in Group E of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027 Qualifiers alongside Malaysia, Palestine, Singapore and Guam. The qualifying tournament is set to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 11 to November 20, 2026.

India's immediate next engagement is the pair of closed-door friendlies in Thanlyin on October 4 and October 7, ahead of their qualifier campaign in Kuala Lumpur from November 11-20, 2026.
