Mirra Andreeva and Qinwen Zheng will contest the China Open 2026 final at the Beijing Olympic Green Tennis Center on October 11 (Sunday), with the championship match scheduled to start at 7:30 pm local time (5:00 pm IST).

Andreeva reached her first Beijing final by defeating Nikola Bartunkova 6-2, 6-2 in the semi-finals and has recorded earlier wins over Yue Yuan, Polina Kudermetova, Daria Snigur and Ekaterina Alexandrova. Zheng reached the title match as a wildcard, beating Elise Mertens 7-5, 6-2 in the semi-final and advancing after victories over Marie Bouzková and Anna Kalinskaya earlier in the event.

Andreeva has not dropped a set in her last three matches in Beijing and arrives on the back of a streak of straight-set wins that carried her into the final. Her semi-final victory over Bartunkova produced the 6-2, 6-2 scoreline that sealed her maiden appearance in the tournament decider.

Zheng’s run in Beijing follows an “excellent US Open,” and her semi-final win over Mertens completed her progress to become the first Chinese player to reach the Beijing final. She also defeated sixth seed Elina Svitolina in the quarter-finals on her way to the title match.

The pair have met once on tour previously, in the 2024 China Open quarter-finals, where Zheng recovered from a set down to win 5-7, 6-0, 6-4. That head-to-head result gives Zheng the edge in their only prior meeting at this event.

On ranking and form, Andreeva is set to become World No. 3 on Monday and is described in reports as the favourite on form and ranking; she is also expected to be the fresher of the two players. Zheng has won 12 of her last 13 matches after dropping as low as No. 160 earlier this year and will have the home crowd behind her; observers noted the 19-year-old Andreeva will need to keep her composure and unforced error count low to counter an in-form rival.

The WTA-1000 women’s singles final will be broadcast and streamed in multiple territories: Indian viewers can watch on Tennis Channel and WTA TV; viewers in the UK can watch live on Sky UK and Sky Sports Tennis, with streaming available on NOW and the Sky Sports app; the Tennis Channel is listed as the official broadcaster in the United States, and the match will also be live streamed on Fubo.

The championship match between Mirra Andreeva and Qinwen Zheng is scheduled for October 11 at the Beijing Olympic Green Tennis Center, starting at 7:30 pm local time (5:00 pm IST), to decide the China Open 2026 women’s singles title.
