Miss American Pie shines

Miss American Pie shone when the horses were exercised in Pune on Friday (Sept. 18) morning. At 1000m, Miss Ameircan Pie (Parmar) recorded 1-5, 800/49, 600/37 and moved impressively.

The morning session comprised timed gallops over 600m, 800m, 1000m, 1200m and 1400m and included a separate gate-practice on the inner sand. Observers appended movement notes to each timing, using descriptions such as "Moved freely", "Moved well", "Pressed in the last part" and "Moved attractively". The report lists individual performances with jockey or rider names in parentheses alongside the recorded splits.

In the shorter drills, Koennesigg (Shahrukh) covered 600m in 39 and was urged. At 800m, Don Julio (Gore) posted 53, 600/39 and was described as having moved freely. Queen Of Beauties (A. Gaikwad) did 53, 600/38 and "Moved well". Bhairava (Siddharth) recorded 51, 600/38 and "Moved nicely". Amazing Ruler (C. Umesh) finished 57, 600/43 and was rated "Easy".

At 1000m, Miss Ameircan Pie (Parmar) produced 1-5, 800/49, 600/37 and "Moved impressively". Age Of Reason (Neeraj) covered 1-10, 800/54, 600/40 and "Worked freely".

In longer-interval work, Victory Flair (Shahrukh) clocked 1-19, 1000/1-6, 800/54, 600/42 and was "Pressed in the last part". Elysium (A. Prakash) registered 1-37, 1200/1-22, 1000/1-7, 800/53, 600/40 and "Moved attractively". Red Lightning (Neeraj) posted 1-42, 600/44 and was described as "Easy".

Gate practice on the inner sand produced the following: Ashwa Tazbeez (Gore) 1-9, 800/53, 600/39 and "Moved freely". Ashwa Kangto (Bhawani) and Angelo (Siddharth) each recorded 1-10, 800/55, 600/43, with the former ending three lengths in front. Queens Covenant (app) and Aegean Sea (app) did 1-10, 800/53, 600/40, with Queens Covenant two lengths better. Satyavan (N. Bhosale) and Imperial Dawn (rb) covered 1-9, 800/53, 600/39, with Satyavan finishing four lengths ahead.
