Mohun Bagan finalise squad for ISL 2026-27 season

Mohun Bagan Super Giant finalised their squad for the Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 season on 2026-10-08, ahead of domestic cup and league commitments.

The club enters the new campaign having narrowly missed retaining top honours; arch-rivals East Bengal beat Inter Kashi 2-1 in a three-goal match at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan, and Mohun Bagan began their Durand Cup with a 1-0 win over East Bengal before losing 4-1 to the same opponents in the Durand Cup final. Mohun Bagan parted ways with Sergio Lobera and appointed former Punjab FC coach Panagiotis Dilmperis from Greece. The team has reached the IFA Shield final, which sets up another Kolkata Derby tonight at the Salt Lake Stadium. The Mariners will play their ISL home games at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata.

The squad retains much of its Indian core while adding several signings; the club secured two Indian internationals, Lallianzuala Chhangte and Rahul Bheke, and signed Alex Saji from SC Delhi. To strengthen attack and midfield the club brought in Dezan Drazic from FC Goa, Lee Erwin from Jordanian outfit Al-Faisaly and Miguel Figueira from East Bengal. Bosnian defender Samir Zeljkovic also arrived from Punjab FC alongside coach Panagiotis Dilmperis.

Mohun Bagan’s coaching appointment is explicit: Panagiotis Dilmperis will lead the team for ISL 2026-27. The club’s recruitment included domestic and foreign targets across all positions as they prepared for league and cup fixtures.

The squad list submitted by the club names three goalkeepers: Priyansh Dubey, Syed Zahid Hussain Bukhari and Vishal Kaith. Defenders listed are Alberto Rodriguez Martin, Alex Saji, Asish Rai, Mehtab Singh, Rahul Shankar Bheke, Roshan Singh Thangjam, Subhasish Prodyut Bose and Tekcham Abhishek Singh.

Midfield and forward rosters as provided include midfielders Abhishek Dhananjay Suryavanshi, Anirudh Thapa, Deepak Tangri, Dejan Drazic, Lalengmawia Ralte, Lalianzuala Chhangte, Liston Colaco, Manvir Singh, Miguel Figueira Damasceno, Sahal Abdul Samad, Samir Zeljkovic and Sayan Banerjee, and forwards Jamie Maclaren, Kiyan Nassiri Giri, Lee Harry Erwin and Suhail Ahmad Bhat.

Mohun Bagan will begin their ISL campaign away in Guwahati, then travel to Delhi to play SC Delhi, with their first home match scheduled against the Marina Machans in the final week of October 2026.
