Mohun Bagan SG to host Odisha FC at Salt Lake in ISL 2026-27 clash

Mohun Bagan SG will host Odisha FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata in an Indian Super League 2026-27 fixture, according to a match preview published on November 4, 2026. Mohun Bagan sit atop the points table with three wins from four games, while Odisha remain without a victory through match week 2.

Mohun Bagan's start to the campaign followed an opening defeat to North East, after which Dilmperis’ side recorded three successive victories, beating Punjab FC, Chennaiyin FC and SC Delhi. Odisha, nicknamed the Juggernauts, began with a 2-1 loss to Punjab FC and have since recorded back-to-back draws against Inter Kashi and North East United FC, registering only one clean sheet so far, which came against the Highlanders in their last game.

When Odisha first entered the ISL they initially struggled against the Kolkata club; in the 2020-21 season Mohun Bagan completed a double over Odisha FC, winning 1-0 and 4-1 as Antonio Habas’ side emerged victorious. The subsequent three meetings between the teams produced draws.

Under Juan Ferrando, Mohun Bagan claimed consecutive wins across the regular season and the playoffs. The clubs also met in the AFC Cup group stage, where Mohun Bagan won the first encounter 4-0 before Odisha reversed the result with a 5-2 victory in the return fixture.

Odisha went on to top Group D in that AFC Cup campaign and qualify for the next round. In more recent meetings, Mohun Bagan have been the more successful side; Odisha have managed just one win in the last seven games between the two clubs.

Last season's meeting saw Sergio Lobera's Mohun Bagan prevail 5-1, with Jamie Maclaren scoring four goals in that match. Across their overall head-to-head record, Mohun Bagan have won 8 games out of 16, Odisha have won 2, and 6 have finished in a draw.

Dimitri Petratos and Roy Krishna are the leading scorers in the fixture with six and five goals respectively, and several figures — including Roy Krishna, Hugo Boumous and Sergio Lobera — have connections to both clubs. The next chapter of this Eastern Derby will be played in the City of Joy at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan as part of the ISL 2026-27 schedule.
