Mona Agarwal secured the women's 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 title at the Asian Para Games in Nagoya on October 23, 2026, adding a second gold to her haul at the meet.

The SH1 category is for athletes with lower-limb or upper-limb impairments who can support the firearm without a gun stand. Earlier at the Games, Agarwal had taken gold in the women's 10m air rifle standing SH1 event with a Games-record score of 250.0; Avani Lekhara won silver in that event with 249.6.

Agarwal fired a 357.5 in the 50m three-positions final at the Aichi Prefecture General Shooting Gallery to establish a new world record for the event.

Her 357.5 surpassed the previous world record of 356 set by Sweden's Anna Benson in Novi Sad in July and also improved on the Asian record of 355.7 set by South Korea's Lee Yunri in Changwon last month.

China's Zhang Cuiping finished second with 353.7 to take silver, while South Korea's Kim Miyoung claimed bronze with 344.4; Avani Lekhara placed fourth with 333.2.

Agarwal's programme at the Nagoya Games now includes two gold medals and two record performances — a Games record in the 10m air rifle standing SH1 and the world record in the 50m rifle 3 positions SH1.
