N. Sriram Balaji and Anirud Chandrasekar win Cancun Country Open doubles in Cancun on August 25, 2026

N. Sriram Balaji and Anirud Chandrasekar defeated Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela and Ivan Liutarevich 6-3, 7-6(4) to lift the doubles title at the second edition of the Cancun Country Open in Cancun on August 25, 2026.

The Mexican-Belarusian pairing of Reyes-Varela and Liutarevich matched the Indian duo for much of the opening set, with fine margins deciding the outcome; Reyes-Varela and Liutarevich conceded just one break of serve throughout the match but were unable to convert their only break-point opportunity, as per the Cancun Country Open website.

The Cancun triumph was Anirud Chandrasekar’s 11th title on the circuit and his second of the year; earlier this season he won the Busan ATP Challenger 125 alongside Japanese partner Takeru Yuzuki. For N. Sriram Balaji it was his fifth Challenger title of the year — his previous four this season came alongside Neil Oberleitner — and the 15th Challenger title of his career.

The decisive moment arrived in the eighth game of the opening set when Balaji and Chandrasekar secured the match’s only break of serve, allowing them to take control of that set. The final set was settled in a tiebreak, which Balaji and Chandrasekar won 7-6(4).

On serve, the champions won 68% of points behind their first delivery and 81% behind their second, statistics cited in the match report. Reyes-Varela and Liutarevich’s solitary break conceded proved pivotal given their failure to convert their single break-point chance.

The winners received 125 ranking points and $9,900 in prize money, while the runners-up collected 75 points and $5,760.
