Naman Dhir debuts for India as Shubman Gill wins toss and opts to bowl in Thiruvananthapuram

Naman Dhir made his ODI debut for India in the opening match against the West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram on 27 September 2026.

Under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, India won the toss and elected to bowl first on a pitch described as batting-friendly.

Both sides expected favourable conditions for chasing as the match progressed into the night.
