Napoli to host AS Roma at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona – confirmed lineups and pre-match updates

SSC Napoli will host AS Roma at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on 24 October 2026 in a Serie A 2026-27 fixture, with confirmed starting lineups and pre-match updates available ahead of the clash.

Napoli arrive after a 0-1 loss to Venezia in their most recent Italian top-division match and sit ninth on the points table, leaving the hosts keen to return to winning ways. The Massimiliano Allegri-led side have displayed inconsistent form in the campaign so far and will take the match at home as an opportunity to improve their league position.

AS Roma travel to Naples on a two-match winning run, having beaten Genoa 2-0 in Serie A and recorded a 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League. The article states Gian Piero Gasperini’s team has produced promising efforts in the ongoing campaign and will seek to extend their positive form.

Scott McTominay was singled out as SSC Napoli’s standout performer in their 4-3 Champions League win over Bodo/Glimt, scoring a brace in that match. The 29-year-old also registered the most shots (7) and the most touches (9) in the opposition box during that game.

Donyell Malen is identified as an important attacking option for AS Roma; the 27-year-old Dutch forward has four goal contributions across his last two appearances for the club. The source notes Malen can both score and create chances and that he will look to produce another strong performance in the final third.

The fixture forms part of the eighth matchweek of the Serie A 2026-27 season and will be played at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, with live confirmed starting lineups and pre-match coverage provided ahead of kick-off.
