Napoli v AS Roma: Derby del Sole at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on October 24

Napoli host AS Roma in the first Derby del Sole of the Serie A 2026-27 season at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on Saturday, October 24; kick-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. IST. Both sides arrive on the back of high-scoring midweek UEFA Champions League wins, each netting four goals on Tuesday.

Napoli enter the match amid poor domestic form, sitting seven points behind Roma in the Serie A table after suffering back-to-back chastening defeats earlier this week. The hosts have, however, recorded shutouts in their past two Serie A home games. Roma have enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, collecting 17 points after seven matches — their biggest points haul at this stage since 2014 — following a 2-0 victory over Genoa last weekend.

Napoli occupy 10th place in Serie A while Roma are third in the standings. The home side have been described as under pressure to meet expectations and were reportedly looking for a way out after recent setbacks; the source adds they are determined to make the best of a bad situation.

Recent history is cited as favoring the hosts at the Maradona, but the visiting side arrives with momentum from their early-season form. The article notes Roma could be set to end a lengthy drought at the Maradona should they secure a positive result.

Broadcast arrangements have been confirmed for several markets: viewers in India can watch on Zee5 and the Unite8 Sports TV channel, fans in the United Kingdom can tune in via DAZN, and viewers in Italy can watch on DAZN and Sky Italia. In the United States, the fixture will be available on Paramount+.

Kick-off for the Derby del Sole is at 9:30 p.m. IST on Saturday, October 24, at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, Naples, Italy.
