Nations qualified so far for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 in Brazil

Brazil will host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, which is scheduled to begin on June 24, 2027, and 17 nations have already secured places for the tournament.

The competition will be staged across eight venues in eight cities, including Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã Stadium, and the final is set for July 25, 2027. Additional dates for the tournament’s various phases, and details of the official group-stage draw, will be announced in due course. Spain enter the tournament as the reigning FIFA Women’s World Cup champions, with La Roja aiming to defend their first major championship in Brazil. England, who finished second at the 2023 tournament in Australia, missed automatic qualification and will take part in UEFA qualifying play-offs to try to secure a place.

UEFA has been allocated 11 berths for the 2027 finals. The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is guaranteed six representatives. CONCACAF and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have at least four slots each. The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) holds one place.

The confirmed qualifiers so far span multiple confederations. From Africa, Algeria, Cameroon, Malawi and Morocco have clinched places. Asian nations that have qualified to date are Australia, China, Japan, North Korea, the Philippines and South Korea. European and South American qualifiers include Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Argentina, Brazil (hosts) and Colombia.

More teams are expected to complete qualification in the coming days, weeks and months as continental windows conclude and remaining fixtures are played.

The inter-confederation play-offs are scheduled for February 2027 and will award three additional tournament slots.
