Neeraj Chauhan defeated compatriot Dhiraj Bommadevara 6-4 to claim the men's individual recurve bronze at the Asian Games in Nagoya on October 3, 2026. The result came in the bronze-medal play-off of the event.

Chauhan registered set scores of 29-26, 27-28, 28-29, 30-28 and 29-28 in the bronze medal match. His podium finish made him only the second Indian male, after Tarundeep Rai, to win an individual recurve medal at the Asian Games. Earlier in the competition top seed Dhiraj lost 3-7 to Paris Olympics bronze medallist Lee Woo Seok in the first semifinal, while Chauhan was beaten 1-7 by Japan's Junya Nakanishi in the other last-four match. In the bronze play-off Chauhan completed the 6-4 victory by taking five sets with scores of 29-26, 27-28, 28-29, 30-28 and 29-28. Those set results produced the two-point margin needed for the 6-4 final scoreline.

Top seed Dhiraj had been eliminated in the semifinals after a 3-7 loss to Lee Woo Seok, who is identified in the report as a Paris Olympics bronze medallist. Chauhan's semifinal against Junya Nakanishi ended 1-7 in favor of the Japanese archer.

Dhiraj reached the semifinals by defeating Uzbekistan’s Amirkhon Sadikov 6-2 in the quarterfinals, with set scores of 29-27, 29-27, 28-28 and 28-28. Chauhan advanced to the last four courtesy of a 7-1 quarterfinal win over Bhutan’s Lam Dorji, the set scores being 26-20, 27-24, 26-26 and 28-27.

Chauhan's victory secured the bronze medal in the men's individual recurve at the Asian Games. The medals in the event were decided on October 3, 2026, in Nagoya.
