Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal in the javelin at the Commonwealth Games, the Times of India reported on August 5, 2026.
His best throw measured 85.83m; debutant Yashvir Singh won bronze as India took two medals in the event. Chopra’s final attempt was a foul, but an earlier effort was enough to secure second place in his second Commonwealth Games appearance.
Chopra said the last 10 months had been extremely difficult and thanked everyone who helped him during his recovery.
