Nine games, including Clair Obscur and A Plague Tale, to leave Xbox Game Pass on Oct. 15, 2026

Xbox has revealed on the Xbox app that nine games will leave Xbox Game Pass on October 15, 2026. Khel Now's report on the update notes the departing list includes one 2025 Game of the Year winner.

Xbox Game Pass routinely rotates titles in and out of its subscription library, with removals and additions occurring most months. The recent update published via the Xbox app identifies nine games that will be removed mid-October, and the announcement reiterates that subscribers have only a limited window to play these titles while they remain on the service.

The nine games confirmed to be leaving Game Pass on October 15, 2026 are: Crime Scene Cleaner; A Plague Tale: Requiem; Superball; Clair Obscur: Expedition 33; Pacific Drive; The Casting of Frank Stone; Evil West; Donut County; and Nova Roma.

A Plague Tale: Requiem and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are singled out as the most prominent entries in the departing lineup. Clair Obscur was described as being loved by both fans and critics and "even won the most awards at the Game Awards 2025," per the report.

Subscribers will retain free access to these titles only until they leave Game Pass; after removal, players must purchase the games from the Xbox Store to continue playing. The update notes that departing Game Pass games are sometimes available to buy at a special Game Pass member discount prior to removal.

The report states Microsoft will announce the coming updates to Xbox Game Pass for October 2026 soon. It also says the incoming wave of updates may introduce new releases to replace the outgoing titles.
