Nivia unveils India jersey ahead of friendlies with Panama, Brazil and Uruguay

Nivia unveiled the Indian national football team’s new jersey ahead of India’s international friendlies against Panama, Brazil and Uruguay, scheduled in Bengaluru and Kolkata from 25th September to 6th October.

The kit will be worn as the Blue Tigers meet Panama on 25th September at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, before hosting Brazil on 3rd October and Uruguay on 6th October at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan. India will host three friendlies against FIFA World Cup playing nations Panama, Brazil and Uruguay. These matches will mark the first time India will play Brazil and Panama and are described in the announcement as among the highest-ranked opponents India have faced in a long time.

The jersey’s primary hue is Bright Blue and features Saffron & Green colored piping around the collars and sleeves. The collar carries the text 'Vande Mataram' and a golden colored strip sits right beneath the collar. A low opacity peacock feather inspired design runs across both the front and the back of the shirt.

Nivia said the new shirt retains most features from the kit used during the Unity Cup 2026, with the most prevalent change being the placement of both the Indian team crest and the Nivia logo being shifted from right & left respectively to the center of the jersey.

Alongside the jersey, Nivia released two additional items: an all white jacket and a blue India team-themed backpack. The jacket is described as having a simple design, with the Nivia logo placed all around the top of the sleeve till the top of the cuff, the Indian team crest on the right and the Nivia logo on the left.

The unveiling was shared on social media, including a post by Khel Now (@khelnow) and a post by Nivia Sports (@niviasports). Most of the fans have been blown away by the design of the new jersey and the additional merchandise, and the addition of the bag and the jacket have been the highlight of the new collection, with the new jersey having subtle enough changes to be welcomed by the fans.

India’s next match is against Panama on 25th September at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, followed by fixtures against Brazil on 3rd October and Uruguay on 6th October at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
