NorthEast United to host Bengaluru in ISL Matchweek 3 in Guwahati on October 30, 2026

NorthEast United FC will face Bengaluru FC at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati in Indian Super League 2026-27 Matchweek 3 on Friday, October 30, 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 7:30 PM IST. The fixture offers both teams an early opportunity to build momentum in the league.

NorthEast United arrive at the match following a run of results that includes a 4-1 win over Kerala Blasters FC, a 0-0 draw with Odisha FC and a 1-0 victory against Mohun Bagan Super Giant. Bengaluru have started the season with two wins — a 3-2 success over Sporting Club Delhi and a 2-0 victory against Chennaiyin FC — leaving them with six points and five goals from their opening pair of matches. The Blues’ narrow margin in the 3-2 result was noted in the source as showing room for improvement defensively.

Across 18 meetings in all competitions between the clubs, Bengaluru hold nine wins, NorthEast United have two victories and seven matches have finished level. The head-to-head record in the source describes Bengaluru as having historically enjoyed the upper hand against the Highlanders.

Specific early results cited include a 1-0 away win for Bengaluru in December 2017 and a 2-0 victory in Guwahati in December 2019. The source also records the 2018-19 ISL semi-finals as a tie where Bengaluru overturned a 2-1 first-leg deficit with a 3-0 win in the second leg to reach the final.

The recent sequence of results has been tighter, with four of the last five meetings ending in draws. The clubs recorded three consecutive 1-1 draws in November and December 2023 and February 2026, with Bengaluru’s 2-0 away win in February 2025 the only non-draw in that five-match span.

The most recent encounter referenced in the source took place in February 2026 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium and finished 1-1. The source states NorthEast United will look to use home support and their recent form to alter the run of results when the teams meet again.

Bengaluru, meanwhile, will aim to extend their positive start and add to their historical advantage when the sides meet in Matchweek 3 on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati with a 7:30 PM IST kick-off.
