Nottingham Forest will host Brest at the City Ground in Nottingham, London on Sunday, August 16 in their final pre-season friendly, with kick-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. IST. The fixture concludes Forest’s preparation for the upcoming campaign and will be streamed live on the club’s Forest TV service.
Forest began their pre-season with three wins and a draw in their first four matches before suffering three consecutive away defeats to Sporting, Udinese and Barcelona; they later beat Bayer Leverkusen following that sequence of losses. The club’s summer activity has continued under Oliver Glasner, and the most prominent departure of the window was Elliot Anderson’s move to Manchester City for £116 million. Brest finished 12th in the 2025-26 Ligue 1 season with 39 points from 34 games, having scored 43 goals and conceded 55.
Brest have added centre-back Gautier Lloris, defensive midfielder Mamady Diambou and Joseph Nonge to their squad during the close season. The visitors’ recent form includes a 2-2 draw with Venezia, in which Ludovic Ajorque levelled in the 88th minute. That result completed Brest’s sequence of three matches without defeat in pre-season. Those results follow the club’s 2025-26 domestic campaign in which they finished mid-table on 39 points from 34 fixtures.
Forest have used a varied pre-season schedule against domestic and European opposition as they build toward the competitive season, alternating wins and defeats across its friendlies.
