Nottinghamshire and Durham win away to reach One-Day Cup semi-finals

At Old Trafford Durham recovered from 110-3 around the halfway mark to post 349-8, led by South African David Bedingham's century and a 149-run stand in 16 overs with Ollie Robinson. Bedingham scored 104 and Robinson 76 as Durham added 90 runs after their pair were separated in the 41st over on 259-4. Bedingham's match-winning hundred came on only his third appearance in this year's One-Day Cup.

Lancashire's reply ended at 187, giving Durham their seventh successful passage to a List A semi-final and handing the hosts their fifth heaviest one-day defeat in 63 years. Leg-spinner Shaq Ghafari took four wickets and Rocky Flintoff made 22, while former Durham player Keaton Jennings and Josh Bohannon briefly looked in control before both departed; Marcus Harris then removed a bail by treading on his stumps.

Yorkshire had posted 273-9 at Clifton Park, paced by Will Bennison's first-team best 91 and a 51 off 42 from teenager Joe Moores, who struck four sixes. Yorkshire lost paceman Jack White to injury one ball into his ninth over, a development the report said helped shift the balance of the match.

In Nottinghamshire's chase Ben Coad earlier claimed 5-52 after beginning with the wickets of Freddie McCann and visiting skipper Haseeb Hameed, and Verreynne survived a hat-trick ball before compiling 105 off 123 balls. Haynes, playing his first game since July because of injury, recorded only his third List A century, and former Worcestershire team-mate Dillon Pennington, who had taken four wickets, finished with an 18-ball cameo of 22 containing two fours and a six. The report noted Notts last won a List A trophy at Lord's in 2017.

"Credit to Ollie Robinson," Bedingham told BBC Radio Newcastle. "He changed the game when he came in. I always thought 350 would be a tough chase. It put pressure on Lancashire. The bowlers were excellent and it was a fine all-round team effort." Lancashire head coach Steven Croft told BBC Radio Lancashire: "We were out-performed by Durham in all departments. The toss was pretty important but we probably took a couple of backward steps. They batted well but, at halfway they probably had 30-40 runs over par and they carried that momentum forward. We didn't throw too many punches in that run chase. Rocky and Moorsey sort of showed the way." Haynes told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It would obviously be nice to have a carrot of a home final, but we've got a big game ahead of us first on Sunday at Grace Road. From the position we were in, we dragged it back brilliantly with the ball from the start they got. No matter how long it's been, you always think, 'Have I forgotten how to bat or not?' So, it was nice to hit a couple out of the middle. And Kyle, with his class, made it a lot easier for me." Yorkshire head coach Anthony McGrath said: "We would have bowled had we not lost the toss. We knew it was probably going to get easier. We were in a great position, 194-3 with about 12 overs left. Really, we should have got 300. That would probably have been enough."

The semi-final schedule lists Leicestershire v Nottinghamshire (Leicester, 11:00 BST) and Middlesex v Durham (Radlett, 11:00); Middlesex qualified automatically for a home semi after winning seven of their eight group games and the match will be played at Radlett because Lord's is unavailable.
