NXT Heatwave 2026 set for August 30 in Edinburg with multiple title matches announced

WWE’s NXT brand will present Heatwave 2026 on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, the 12th edition of the Premium Live Event. The show follows AAA’s Ola de Calor at the same venue and is scheduled amid AEW’s All In on the same weekend.
NXT will close out August with Heatwave, while AAA’s Ola de Calor will precede the NXT card at Bert Ogden Arena; All In will emanate from Wembley Stadium in London. AEW’s All In is scheduled to begin at 1 PM ET, AAA’s event at 12 PM ET, and NXT Heatwave at 3 PM ET.
A Fatal 4-Way has been booked for the NXT Championship after a number one contender’s match between Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana (Mike Santana) ended in disqualification when Zilla Fatu debuted and attacked both competitors. On the August 18 edition of NXT Fatu signed with the company and GM Robert Stone said Fatu’s contract stipulates he will make his debut in a title match; the fatal four-way was announced moments later. The match will be Fatu’s in-ring debut and will represent Tony D’Angelo’s sixth NXT Championship defense.
Kendal Gray, who retained the NXT Women’s Championship in an NXT Underground match against Lola Vice, will defend the title against Kelani Jordan. Gray granted Jordan a title shot at any time and any place; Jordan chose Texas and signed the contract to make the match official.
A unification bout for the NXT Women’s North American and WWE Women’s Speed titles has been turned into a Triple Threat after Kali Armstrong defeated Women’s North American Champion Zaria under a stipulation that added Armstrong to the match. The triple-threat will now involve Zaria, Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair and Kali Armstrong with both titles at stake.
Jackson Drake earned a NXT North American Championship opportunity by defeating Shiloh Hill after Naraku misted Hill, and that title shot will take place in Edinburg against Myles Borne. WWE also announced The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) will challenge NXT Tag Team Champions Myles Borne and Travion Heights for the tag titles, meaning Borne will be scheduled to defend two titles on the same card.
Jaida Parker and Nattie are booked to meet in a Submission Match at Heatwave.
Fans in the United States can watch NXT Heatwave on The CW Network, while international viewers can tune in via Netflix (excluding select markets); the PLE is set to begin at 3 PM ET.
