India and New Zealand meet in the second Twenty20 international of India’s tour of New Zealand at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday, October 24, 2026, with the match scheduled to start at 12:30 PM IST; India lead the series 1-0.

In the opening T20I India chased down a 226-run target, registering their highest T20I run chase and reaching the total with two balls to spare. Sanju Samson provided a rapid platform with a 23-ball fifty, Shreyas Iyer scored 42 off 28 and Naman Dhir finished 42 not out off 15; Glenn Phillips made 82 off 40 for New Zealand.

The second T20I at Hagley Oval is set to begin at 12:30 PM IST / 8 PM local on Saturday, with the toss scheduled for 12 PM IST / 7:30 PM local. The match will be played at the same venue as the first game.

Both sides were guilty of dropped catches and wayward bowling in the first match; India “didn’t execute their bowling plans,” while New Zealand conceded too many extras in what became a high-scoring contest. Given the identical venue, fans expect another high-scoring game.

Ishan Kishan has been injured ahead of the second encounter, and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi might get a game for India.

In India the T20I will be available on Sony Sports Network and via the Sony LIV app or website for users with an active account. Local viewers in New Zealand can watch live on Sky Sport NZ, with streaming available on the Sky Go app and the Sky Sport platform.
