India and New Zealand will meet in the second One-Day International of their bilateral series at Hnry Stadium in Wellington on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The toss is scheduled for 7:00 AM IST with the match to start at 7:30 AM IST.

India opened the ODI series with a five-wicket win over New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on November 4, 2026. The visitors arrive after winning the recently concluded T20I series 3-2, and the returns of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have strengthened India’s batting line-up. Shubman Gill is captaining India for the first three matches of the series, with Shreyas Iyer set to take charge for the final two ODIs. Mitchell Santner will continue as New Zealand captain throughout the series.

Both sides will travel to Wellington for the second match, which will be staged at Hnry Stadium, the venue formerly known as Sky Stadium and also referred to as Wellington Regional Stadium. New Zealand will have the home advantage and will need improved performances with both bat and ball to level the series.

In New Zealand the game will begin at 3:00 PM local time. Indian viewers can watch the fixture in the early morning following the stated IST start.

The second ODI falls on the Diwali weekend, with Chhoti Diwali observed on November 7 and the main Diwali celebration scheduled for November 8.

New Zealand will look to bounce back after losing the opening game, while India will aim to extend their lead in the 50-over series.

The Wellington fixture is the second of five scheduled ODIs in the series, with Shubman Gill to captain India for this match and Mitchell Santner remaining New Zealand’s captain.
