Odisha FC announced on September 17, 2026 that they have signed 22-year-old midfielder Arjun Makkoth Mohanan on a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2029. The deal was confirmed by the club as part of its transfer activity ahead of the upcoming Indian Super League season.

Arjun is a Kerala-born midfielder who progressed through Muthoot FA and featured in the Reliance Foundation Development League, making 10 appearances and scoring twice. He represented Kannur Warriors FC in the Super League Kerala, playing 10 matches during their 2025 title-winning campaign. His form with Kannur Warriors earned him selection to the Kerala Santosh Trophy squad for the 2025–26 season, in which Kerala finished runners-up.

After completing his move, Arjun said: "I’m very happy to join Odisha FC and grateful for the opportunity to take this next step in my career." He added: "I’m looking forward to learning, competing at the highest level and contributing to the team whenever called upon. I’ll give everything I have to this club and its supporters."

Alongside Arjun’s arrival, Odisha confirmed contract extensions for Suhair VP, Edwin Sydney Vanspaul Henry, Lalthathanga Khawlhring (Puitea) and Tejas Krishna, retaining four members of their first-team core. The club also signed Hrithik Tiwari from FC Goa, who had a standout 2025-26 Indian Super League season, clinching the Golden Glove award for the most clean sheets and most saves in the campaign.

Odisha further strengthened the squad by bringing in goalkeeper Sachin Suresh from Kerala Blasters FC and attackers Nanndha Kumar and Nihal Sudeesh. The club added several foreign players to its roster as well, announcing the signings of Stephen Eze, Giorgi Aburjania, Manu Molina, Mahmoud Eid and Everton Nascimento.

These moves form part of Odisha FC’s preparations for the upcoming ISL season, with Arjun Makkoth Mohanan contracted to the club through 2029.
