Ouattara earns 1-1 draw for Brentford as Hull extend home unbeaten run

Hull City and Brentford played out a 1-1 draw at the MKM Stadium in the Premier League on 25 October 2026, with Dango Ouattara's second-half strike cancelling out an Oli McBurnie penalty and leaving Hull unbeaten at home but without a win in seven matches.
Wind from Storm Boelo blew balloons and litter onto the pitch in the opening minutes, interrupting play before the match settled into its first notable chances; Hull faltered in midfield after 11 minutes allowing Aaron Hickey to fire a shot that Konstantinos Tzolakis saved, and, after 22 minutes, Hickey lunged at the legs of Tim Iroegbunam inside the area, leading to a penalty which McBurnie converted in the 24th minute by finding the bottom right corner despite Caoimhin Kelleher guessing correctly. McBurnie's spot-kick was recorded as his first Premier League goal for more than 900 days.
Ten minutes after Hickey's earlier shot, Mohamed Belloumi played in McBurnie inside the box but Mathias Jensen rushed in to block the Scot's attempt, preventing an immediate follow-up to Brentford's early threat.
Brentford levelled after the interval when Igor Thiago worked the ball to Ouattara, who tapped home in the 63rd minute after what the report described as lax defending from Hull, restoring parity for the visitors.
Following the equaliser Jaidon Anthony forced a save from Tzolakis after an initial effort sailed narrowly wide, and Brentford then conceded a quick counter in which Belloumi sprinted clear before firing over from distance; late in the game an 88th-minute Mohamed-Ali Cho cross into the box found Joe Gelhardt but his shot was off target.
The match finished 1-1, a result that maintained the unbeaten records at home and away noted in the report and extended Hull's run without an away victory, leaving both sides to settle for a single point from the fixture.
