Paige officially added to SmackDown roster in WWE roster update

On September 21, 2026, former WWE Divas Champion Paige was officially moved to the SmackDown roster on WWE’s official roster page, joining the Blue brand. The roster change follows a run of appearances on SmackDown since her in-ring return earlier this year.

Paige returned at WrestleMania 42 to replace Nikki Bella and join Brie Bella in a fatal four-way for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, and she and Brie captured the championships. The pair later dropped the titles to Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid of Fatal Influence. Fatal Influence continued to target Paige and Brie, prompting Nikki Bella’s return and the scheduling of a SummerSlam six-woman tag match against Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid).

At SummerSlam the six-woman tag ended in a win for Fatal Influence, and the aftermath saw the Bella Twins turn on Paige. Brie suffered a shoulder injury that left Nikki to carry the ensuing rivalry after her late-August return. Nikki maintained the program in Brie’s absence.

The two met on the September 11 edition of SmackDown, with Nikki picking up the victory over Paige. Since returning, Paige had been listed as a free agent in a WWE roster update prior to this SmackDown assignment. That free-agent listing came amid continued appearances on the Blue brand following her WrestleMania comeback.

Paige and Brie also worked on Monday Night Raw during their tag-title reign, defending the belts in their Red Brand in-ring appearances. Their last appearance on Raw was the June 22 edition in London, England, when Paige and Brie defeated Bayley & Lyra Valkyria to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.

Following the September 11 loss, Paige has been absent from WWE programming, while Nikki Bella has teased coming for the reigning Women’s Champion, Chelsea Green. There is no clarity on if WWE will decide to continue the feud.
