Pakistan release seven players; Sarfaraz Ahmed and Umar Gul step aside from coaching

On August 31, 2026, following a string of losses, the Pakistan Cricket Board released seven players and parts of its coaching staff as the team readied itself for the third Test against England at Edgbaston.
