Pakistan will stage an ODI tri-nation series featuring England and Sri Lanka from October 18 to 31, 2026, the Pakistan Cricket Board said on Wednesday.

The PCB framed the tri-series as part of a renewed emphasis on the 50-over game ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027, noting that the rise of T20 cricket has changed the sport's dynamics and given associate nations more exposure at the highest level. The board also pointed out that Pakistan last hosted an ODI series among full-member nations in February 2025, which involved Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa. The PCB announced the full schedule for the October tri-series on Wednesday.

The tournament will comprise seven matches in total. The group stage consists of six matches in which each side plays the other two teams twice. The top two teams from that round-robin phase will meet in a single final to decide the winner.

Match hosting is split between two venues: Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host the first three fixtures and Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will stage the remaining four games. The two stadia will therefore share the seven scheduled encounters across the tournament window.

Sri Lanka are due to arrive in Pakistan on October 4 for a separate three-match T20I series scheduled between October 9 and 13. England will travel to Pakistan after that T20I series concludes to take part in the tri-nation ODI event. The PCB confirmed those travel and match arrangements in its announcement.

Following the tri-series, Sri Lanka will play a three-day warmup match in Islamabad from November 4-6. That warmup precedes a two-match Test series with Pakistan, with the first Test set for November 9-13 in Rawalpindi and the second Test scheduled for November 17-21 in Lahore.
