Pawan Sehrawat and Pro Kabaddi League franchise Tamil Thalaivas announced on October 31, 2026, that their differences have been amicably resolved ahead of PKL Season 13, according to statements posted on official social media accounts. The Pro Kabaddi League, Tamil Thalaivas and Sehrawat each issued posts clarifying the matter.

Sehrawat, who recently won another gold medal with the Indian men’s kabaddi team at the Asian Games 2026 and serves as the Indian vice-captain, had disagreements with Tamil Thalaivas during PKL Season 12. Those disputes drew public attention during and after the previous PKL season and prompted official responses from the parties involved.

Tamil Thalaivas released a statement saying: “We are pleased to state that all our differences with Mr. Pawan Sehrawat during PKL Season 12 have been amicably resolved. We have decided not to press any allegations against him. We also congratulate him on his recent feat at the Asian Games 2026 and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”

Pawan Sehrawat posted: “There were some differences with Tamil Thalaivas during PKL Season 12, which have now been amicably resolved. I thank Mashal for helping facilitate the process and reach a resolution. I look forward to continuing my PKL career.”

The Pro Kabaddi League’s official social media handle also shared a statement, indicating its role in resolving the differences between the two parties. Their statement read: “We are happy to announce that all differences between Tamil Thalaivas and Pawan Sehrawat have been amicably resolved.”

During PKL Season 12, Tamil Thalaivas had bought Sehrawat at the auction and appointed him captain, but after a few matches he was sent home. Thalaivas stated he was released from the team for disciplinary reasons in accordance with the team’s code of conduct; Sehrawat countered that the allegations were false and said he would quit playing kabaddi if any were proven correct. He also raised concerns about a particular person in the management whom he said interfered in team decisions and was the main reason behind his release.

The Thalaivas failed to qualify for the playoffs, and further controversy followed when head coach Sanjeev Baliyan and captain Arjun Deshwal said at a press conference that they were not being given the freedom to make their own decisions. Those disputes drew attention to the league and Mashal Sports, prompting intervention to settle the matter between the franchise and the player.

Sehrawat thanked Mashal for facilitating the resolution and said he looks forward to continuing his PKL career, confirming his intention to remain involved in the league ahead of PKL Season 13.
