Pawan Sehrawat was named one of India's flag-bearers for the Asian Games opening ceremony on September 19, 2026, taking the place of Tajinderpal Singh Toor.
Toor said his official kit would arrive too late for him to take part, and the athletics team is still waiting for their uniforms.
Sehrawat will carry the Indian flag alongside Manu Bhaker.
