PCB moves to possible two-year bans for former Pakistan cricketers over unauthorised Zambia league

On August 5, 2026, the Pakistan Cricket Board said it has taken disciplinary measures against former Pakistan cricketers who played in an unauthorised league in Zambia and that they face possible bans of up to two years from PCB‑sanctioned events.

The PCB said the potential bans would also prevent those players from taking coaching or consultancy roles with the board and stressed the need to obtain necessary approvals for international participation.
