Penta won the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match at WWE Money in the Bank 2026 on October 11, 2026, claiming the briefcase that grants a future world title opportunity and closing the premium live event; earlier in the card Tiffany Stratton won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. The men’s match featured six competitors — Bron Breakker, Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Penta, CM Punk and Kevin Owens — in the main-event ladder contest.

The match began with CM Punk making the first entrance, followed by Bron Breakker and Trick Williams, the latter accompanied by Lil Yachty; Je’Von Evans came out next, with Kevin Owens and Penta completing the line-up. The briefcase on offer guarantees the holder a right to challenge for a world championship at a time of their choosing. Early in the match Penta launched himself with a dive that briefly cleared the field before Breakker countered with a German suplex and began to dominate the action.

Multiple ladder climbs and counters defined the early exchanges: Breakker halted Penta’s initial attempts, Punk interrupted Breakker’s ascents, Evans tried to climb from the opposite side and Owens stymied him, and Williams mounted an attempt that Breakker stopped before sending Owens to the floor. Penta made another run at the briefcase only for Breakker to take him down with a knee as the brawl spilled around the ringside area.

Ringside chaos saw four competitors crash into the timekeeper’s area and officials and medical staff tend to Je’Von Evans after a spear from Breakker. A stretcher was brought out, the broadcast cut to backstage footage of Evans being loaded into an ambulance, and the article reports he was taken to a hospital. During this period Penta continued competing while visibly favoring a leg injury, described in the report as hopping on his leg.

Lil Yachty assisted Trick Williams in bringing Breakker down and briefly attempted a climb before Owens countered and hit Yachty with a Stunner. Owens and Punk climbed a ladder together with Punk sending Owens collapsing; Penta interrupted Punk’s attempt to claim the briefcase. Punk then hit Penta with a GTS and climbed the ladder looking to secure the briefcase for the third time in his career, only for Owens to neutralize him by gouging Punk’s eyes as they traded blows.

Breakker returned to the fray, spearing Punk and Owens through the barricade, and an ambulance pulled up at ringside; Breakker asked the driver to pull away but Je’Von Evans emerged from the vehicle, slammed the door in Breakker’s face and leapt from the driver’s seat onto him. Evans cleared the ring and erected a large ladder, but when he climbed it Breakker tilted the ladder and Evans crashed through the roof of the ambulance at ringside.

In the match’s closing sequence Breakker hoisted a ladder while Penta dragged him down; both men climbed and Penta delivered the Mexican Destroyer onto the ladder before ascending to unlatch the briefcase and win the men’s Money in the Bank match. The report notes Penta’s win follows a recent setback on Raw in Mexico City against Roman Reigns, and that Penta now holds the right to cash in the contract at any time and place of his choosing.

Roman Reigns successfully defended the World Heavyweight title against LA Knight in the first match of the premium live event, and WWE’s next premium live event is Crown Jewel at the Riyadh Season Stadium in KAFD, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 7, 2026.
