Pornanong Phatlum wins Indian Open at DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram

Pornanong Phatlum won the Indian Open at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram on Sunday, October 25, 2026, finishing with a four-day total of 277.

The 36-year-old Thai shot a bogey-free final round after moving into contention late in the tournament, having crept up to joint second on the penultimate day while keeping a low profile during the earlier rounds.

Grouped with defending champion Shannon Tan and Vani Kapoor for the final round, Pornanong began with a birdie at the first and "picked up four more shots on the front nine." Vani matched her for five birdies on the front nine but dropped one at the eighth to make the turn on four-under 32.

On the back nine Pornanong "managed to find the fairways, stay on the greens and play a cautious hand" to "pick up two more shots and parring the rest," while Vani "dropped shots on the 10, 12, 13 and 18th holes" and fell out of contention.

Vani Kapoor, who had led going into Sunday, finished sole second on 281, which was her highest finish on the Ladies European Tour; defending champion Shannon Tan was third on 284. Three Indians finished inside the top 10, with Pranavi Urs joint fourth on 285 and Tvesa Malik seventh on 287, while Sara Kouskova was tied with Urs on 285 and Magdalena Simmermacher finished on 286.

Pornanong had previously won the Indian Open in 2008 and 2009 (when the event was a three-day, 54-hole tournament co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour) and again in 2012; those earlier victories came on the original nine-hole Arnold Palmer course, making this her first win on the redesigned 18-hole Gary Player course. Her last Ladies European Tour victory prior to this was the Dubai Masters in 2013.

The victory ended a 12-year wait for a fourth Indian Open title for Pornanong and secured her third Ladies European Tour title.
