PSG granted extra dressing room at Red Bull Arena after Super Cup complaint

Paris St-Germain were allocated an additional dressing room at Red Bull Arena in Austria after raising concerns at a pre-game meeting on Monday ahead of Wednesday's Uefa Super Cup. Uefa reassigned a spare room, normally used by officials, to increase PSG's space.

The Champions League holders had complained about their facilities ahead of the Super Cup match with Europa League winners Aston Villa. Unai Emery's side were using Red Bull Salzburg's home dressing room, which left PSG in the away dressing room in Austria. PSG officials told Uefa they believed their assigned room was too small, and sources told BBC Sport the club wanted equal space to Villa because they are the reigning Super Cup champions after beating Tottenham on penalties last year.

Uefa was able to provide PSG with the extra dressing room to match Villa's space. No match officials were moved to accommodate Luis Enrique's side.

PSG have travelled with a 20-player squad that includes Bradley Barcola, identified in reports as a Liverpool target, midfielder Vitinha and left-back Lucas Digne, who joined from Villa on Sunday.

Paris St-Germain defended their Champions League crown with victory over Arsenal in May. Aston Villa are entering their first Super Cup since 1982, having ended a 30-year trophy drought when Unai Emery's team beat Freiburg in Istanbul to win the Europa League.

Paris St-Germain will meet Aston Villa in the Uefa Super Cup at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday.
