PV Sindhu backs monkey‑proofing measures at Delhi Worlds venue

PV Sindhu praised organisers' preparations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Stadium for the BWF World Championships in comments published on August 10, 2026, after animals disrupted the India Open earlier this year.

Organisers have fitted the stadium with sealed vents, double doors, anti-pest gel and predator-call machines.

They also hired three men trained to imitate langur calls to deter monkeys, and Sindhu called the efforts uniquely Indian and warmly welcoming.
