Racist chanting halts play as substitute Ronald nets last-gasp winner for Swansea at Millwall

Substitute Ronald scored a last-minute winner as Swansea beat Millwall 1-0 at the Den in the Championship on 13 October 2026, a match interrupted for almost seven minutes after a complaint of racist chanting.
Referee Edward Duckworth stopped play in the 65th minute and spoke with Millwall manager Alex Neil, Swansea boss Vítor Matos and fourth official Ruebyn Ricardo before a security guard attended the area behind the Swansea dugout; when action resumed the stadium was told police were reviewing CCTV after a report of racist chanting.

Callum Brittain put Stoke ahead three minutes into the second half, Junior Tchamadeu’s effort then deflected off Borges for an own goal, and Will Lankshear restored Boro’s lead with his eighth league goal in 10 games after Stoke keeper Viktor Johansson spilled Amario Cozier-Duberry’s strike. Substitute Robert Bozenik appeared to salvage a point for the home side with five minutes left, tapping in after Luke Ayling’s poor clearance, but Borges converted from close range in the first of four minutes of stoppage time to seal the win.
