Raza, Pooran and Moeen lead Mississauga, Toronto and Vancouver to wins at BC Place

Sikandar Raza’s rapid half-century, Nicholas Pooran’s 40 off 16 and Moeen Ali’s unbeaten 37 propelled Mississauga Masters, Toronto Sixers and Vancouver Anchors to victories at BC Place on October 2 during Day 3 of Canada Super 60 Season 2.
The third day of Season 2 at BC Place featured three men’s matches and a women’s fixture earlier in the day. The official tournament schedule confirmed the three teams’ Day 3 fixtures at the venue. Broadcast rights for the competition are held in Canada by CBC and CBC Gem and in India by Unite8 Sports 2, with live streaming on FanCode.
Vancouver Anchors dismissed Brampton Blitz for 84/9 in their 10 overs and then reached 90/4 in 8.4 overs to win by six wickets. Moeen Ali anchored the chase with 37 not out from 18 balls, striking one four and four sixes at a strike rate of 205.56, while Obus Pienaar contributed 22 from 13. The Anchors’ bowling was led by Lewis Gregory, who returned 4/13 from two overs, and Martin Andersson and Akhil Kumar, who claimed two wickets apiece.
White Rock Warriors posted 128/6 in their 10 overs, with Aryan Sidhu scoring 40 from 16 balls including five sixes and Dominic Drakes remaining unbeaten on 38 from 10 with six sixes. Toronto Sixers chased the total to 129/5 in 9.3 overs, driven by Nicholas Pooran’s 40 off 16 with five sixes; Kieron Pollard added 22 from nine balls and Daniel Sams finished unbeaten on 27 from 10, including four sixes. Sams also contributed with the ball, taking 2/26 in the match.
Mississauga Masters posted 125/2, powered by Sikandar Raza’s 50 off 24 balls, and held Montreal Royal Tigers to 123/4 to secure a two-run win. The narrow margin produced Mississauga’s second victory of the league phase and left the Masters unbeaten after their opening two men’s matches. Montreal’s chase fell short despite reaching 123/4 in their allotted 10 overs.
In the women’s fixture, Vancouver Anchors Women were dismissed for 81/4 in 10 overs with Fatima Sana Khan top-scoring on 49 from 31 balls, including five fours and three sixes. Vancouver Warriors Women completed the chase in 7.4 overs, finishing 82/2; Sophie Reid led the reply with an unbeaten 37 from 16 and Marizanne Kapp contributed 14 not out from seven.
