Real Betis will host FC Porto at the Estadio La Cartuja on October 14 in their league phase game 2 of the UEFA Champions League 2026-27, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side taking on Francesco Farioli’s team.

Real Betis have started the season strongly under Pellegrini, coming into the fixture off a 5-2 LaLiga win over Osasuna and having edged Lille 3-2 in their opening Champions League match. Porto began their campaign with a 0-2 defeat to Manchester City and will travel to Seville seeking a response. Both clubs arrive with recent domestic form that sets up an intriguing contest at La Cartuja.

The 34-year-old Spanish midfield ace Isco was the standout for Betis in the win over Osasuna, scoring a brace. In that match Isco took the most shots (6) and had the most touches (8) in the opposition box, while creating chances and remaining a constant threat to the opponent’s defence.

André Silva, the 30-year-old Portuguese forward, is expected to lead Porto’s final third after a subdued display against Manchester City; Farioli’s side will be aiming to return to winning ways. Porto face the added challenge of playing away, and the club will look to Silva to improve the attacking output that was lacking in their 0-2 opening defeat.

Real Betis will be without Junior Firpo, who is sidelined with a muscle injury, while Aitor Ruibal has returned to training and might feature. FC Porto will miss Joao Costa and Zaidu Sanusi due to injury.

Probable lineups listed for the fixture are: Valles (GK); Bellerin, Bartra, Natan, Garcia; Bernal, Fornals; Antony, Isco, Riquelme; Hernandez. Diogo Costa (GK); Alberto Costa, Perez, Kiwior, Fernandes; Rosario, Varela, Veiga; Sainz, Silva, Pepe. The preview prediction given is Real Betis 2-1 FC Porto.

The match is scheduled for October 14 at the Estadio La Cartuja and will be available on the SonyLIV app and website. Broadcast arrangements include India: Sony Sports Network, SonyLIV; UK: TNT Sports, Amazon Prime, BBC; Portugal: Sport TV, DAZN, LiveMode.
