Report: WWE Royal Rumble 2027 expected on February 6 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale

WWE announced in August that the 2027 Royal Rumble will be staged at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and Fightful Select reports the event is expected to take place on the weekend of February 6, 2027. WWE has not formally confirmed an exact date for the pay-per-view.

The 2027 edition will be the 40th Royal Rumble and is scheduled for February rather than the promotion’s usual January slot. It will be only the second Royal Rumble to occur in February after the 2025 edition. The show’s primary attractions will be the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.

Winners of the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches will secure championship opportunities at WrestleMania 43. The 2027 event returns the PLE to the United States after this year’s edition took place in Saudi Arabia.

Fightful Select’s update states WWE has yet to announce an official date but that sources expect the PLE on the weekend of February 6; the currently expected date cited is Saturday, February 6, 2027. If that date is confirmed, the Royal Rumble would fall one day before AEW Dynasty.

AEW Dynasty is set for Sunday, February 7, at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England, and will be AEW’s first pay-per-view in Liverpool and its first in the country outside London. Reports have also surfaced that WWE is considering expanding the Royal Rumble to two nights.

Those reports say a two-night Royal Rumble would push a Night 2 head-to-head with AEW Dynasty. Arizona previously hosted the Royal Rumble in 2013 and 2019, and the 2027 edition will be the third time the PLE has been held in the state.

WWE has not publicly announced the date for the 2027 Royal Rumble; per Fightful Select the currently expected date is Saturday, February 6, 2027.
