Fast bowlers Ollie Robinson, Naavya Sharma and Ethan Bamber were among the prize winners announced at the Cricket Writers' Club annual lunch at Lord's on 3 November 2026. The awards, decided by the club's membership, recognised performances across international, county and disability cricket over the season.

Ollie Robinson, 32, was named England's cricketer of the year after returning to Test cricket following two years out in the cold; he took 28 wickets in four Tests at an average of 9.30 and moved into the International Cricket Council Test bowling rankings' top five. Robinson becomes the fifth recipient of the Bob Willis Trophy since the prize was reallocated in 2022.

Warwickshire pace spearhead Ethan Bamber, 27, was named County Championship player of the year after taking 69 wickets in 16 matches during the Bears' ninth title triumph. Bamber claimed 32 of those wickets from late August onwards as Warwickshire won five of their last six games to secure the championship for the first time since 2021.

Middlesex's England Lions fast bowler Naavya Sharma, the 21-year-old, won the NV Play Men's Young Cricketer of the Year after taking 35 wickets in nine County Championship matches at an average of 21 and helping Middlesex lift the One-Day Cup. Sharma, the 77th winner of the Young Cricketer of the Year Award and described in the citation as already very much on England's radar, was unable to attend the annual lunch at Lord's because he is representing England Lions in St Kitts.

Tilly Corteen-Coleman, who turned 19 in August, was voted Women's Young Cricketer of the Year by the 450-strong membership after starring for Surrey and Southern Brave and making her England debut in both white-ball formats; she was also part of the T20 World Cup squad that lost in the final to Australia at Lord's. Scotland's Kirstie Gordon received the Women's Cricket Award after representing Scotland at the T20 World Cup and captaining the Nottingham-based Blaze to a domestic treble of Blast, County Cup and One-Day Cup.

England mixed disability cricketer Angus Brown was named Disability Cricketer of the Year after hitting a 43-ball hundred against India, England's first in the mixed disability format, and recording the fastest-ever century, from 45 balls, in the Disability Premier League. Other winners at the annual lunch included awards across men's and women's categories and county honours.
