Rockstar Games released the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix and YouTube on August 29, 2026, and footage from preview visits revealed a novel interaction: players can pick up a dropped dog-waste bag and throw it at NPCs, according to YouTuber TGG.

YouTuber TGG shared the detail after attending an exclusive preview at Rockstar North where invited creators were given access to the game; co-studio head Rob Nelson explained the mechanic during the visit. NPCs can be seen walking dogs around Vice City, where owners normally clean up with a doggy bag, but if a player scares or interrupts an owner the bag can be dropped and subsequently picked up by the player to be thrown at others.

Khel Now reported that the dog-waste interaction is not tied to core gameplay but is presented to emphasise the interactivity of Rockstar’s world, with the publisher pointing to spontaneous, unplanned moments during free roam as part of the experience.

Rockstar has described GTA 6 as featuring a deeper open-world simulation than previous entries; the company said NPCs react naturally to players’ actions and surroundings, and players will be able to eavesdrop on conversations, witness random world events and build relationships with characters Jason and Lucia.

The preview also showed a range of activities and systems beyond combat and driving: players can customise vehicles, visit and train in a gym, and interact with NPCs that exhibit more realistic animations and behaviours.

Rockstar said the wanted system has been overhauled so police can identify suspects based on face, clothing, hairstyles, CCTV footage and eyewitness reports.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
