Rodri says Manchester City players’ success cannot be taken away and defends club amid reported verdict

Barcelona midfielder Rodri told The Guardian’s live blog on 26 September 2026 that nobody can take away Manchester City players’ success and that he still believes in his former club’s innocence despite reports they have been found guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules.

He added: "We have faced something similar back in 2020, we had a similar judicial process," and said, "Different accusation but similar process."
