Roger Federer said at his International Tennis Hall of Fame induction last August that he had been vegetarian until 16 and that teammate Marc Rosset persuaded him to try meat on a 1998 Davis Cup trip to a steakhouse.
He said he enjoyed several varieties and resumed eating meat. His wife, Mirka, later helped him develop a taste for fish.
