Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli featured in India’s three-match home One-Day International series against the West Indies, which ended with a five-wicket defeat in New Chandigarh on October 3, 2026. Both batsmen produced notable innings across the three matches.

Rohit Sharma finished the series with 225 runs in three innings at an average of 75. He scored 32 in the opening ODI, hit 101 off 75 balls in the second match and made 92 in the final game. Rohit was among the key players for India across the series.

Virat Kohli accumulated 168 runs in three innings at an average of 56. His standout contribution came in the opening match when he struck 139 not out off 88 balls. Kohli also reached 15,000 ODI runs during the series, becoming the second batter after Sachin Tendulkar to achieve the milestone.

India will play five Twenty20 internationals against New Zealand starting on October 22, followed by a five-match ODI series. The ODIs are scheduled to run until November 15, 2026, with fixtures set for Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton and Mount Maunganui. All five ODIs are scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM IST.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has not announced the squad for the New Zealand tour. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are expected to be considered for the ODI series after their recent performances in the West Indies. That expectation comes ahead of the official squad announcement.

They are expected to play their next ODI on November 4, 2026, against New Zealand. The first match will be held at Eden Park in Auckland.
