Roman Reigns responds to Vidyut Jammwal invitation, says he hopes to return to India soon

Roman Reigns addressed WWE fans after receiving an invitation from Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal during promotional activity for the Street Fighter film, which releases on October 16, and said he hopes to return to India soon.
Reigns featured on the card at the Money in the Bank 2026 PLE, defending his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight in the opening match; the outcome drew mixed reactions from fans while the OTC remained one of WWE’s biggest names. Outside the ring, Reigns has been promoting the Street Fighter movie, which includes Jammwal in its cast. Reigns’ last public visit to India was in 2017 for the WWE Live India Supershow in New Delhi, and WWE staged Superstar Spectacle in Hyderabad in September 2023 without Reigns on the card.
Vidyut Jammwal is part of the star-studded cast of the upcoming live-action Street Fighter adaptation and has been noted in the article for his action performances and his expertise in the Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu. The piece states that stars such as Cody Rhodes praised Jammwal’s fitness and look while working together on the film. The promotional work around the movie brought Reigns and Jammwal together for the exchange.
A clip of their interaction captured Jammwal conveying a request from Indian fans: "We have invited him (Reigns) to India," Jammwal said in the video. Reigns replied directly to the Indian crowd, saying: "It’s been too long but hopefully we will be back soon. I love everybody in India and thank you for all the support. Vidyut here… He is the man."
The report notes that Reigns’ response was a warm acknowledgment rather than a formal confirmation of a scheduled WWE appearance or a set visit to India. Jammwal later emphasised the moment on social media, writing "A promise kept," to describe Reigns’ gracious reply and the personal connection behind the invitation.
On his professional calendar, the article states Reigns has a busy schedule with the Stanford-based promotion and has been advertised in connection with a champion-vs-champion matchup at the upcoming Premium Live Event, Crown Jewel 2026. The story also mentions rumours that hint at a possible match against Oba Femi at WrestleMania 43, although dates and venue are not confirmed for the PLE.
Reigns is advertised for the October 19 Raw episode following his title defence at the Money in the Bank 2026 PLE.
