Roman Reigns will return on the August 17 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, to receive Solo Sikoa after Jey Uso defeated Sikoa on the August 10 Raw at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, a result that forces Sikoa to rejoin the Bloodline. The August 17 show will also host two first-round matches in the World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender tournament.

The August 10 Raw in Norfolk kicked off the tournament to determine who will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship on the September 14 edition of Raw in Mexico City. Penta advanced by defeating Laredo Kid in a first-round match. The show featured a heated face-off between Bron Breakker and Oba Femi and a promo exchange between Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer that ended with Liv Morgan ambushing Lynch after the segment. Sol Ruca chose Iyo Sky as her tag partner and the pair beat Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez), with Ruca scoring the pin following a Sol Snatcher on Roxanne.

The August 10 main event saw Jey Uso defeat Solo Sikoa under a stipulation that if Solo lost he must rejoin the Bloodline; Jey Uso is scheduled to deliver Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns on the August 17 edition of Raw. The contractual stipulation and the main-event result set the stage for Roman Reigns’ on-screen return and the renewal of Bloodline storyline elements on next week’s program.

Two first-round tournament matches have been announced for the August 17 episode: Rey Fénix vs El Fiscal, and Dragon Lee vs El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. The winners of those bouts will move into the semifinals and join Penta, who earned his spot by defeating Laredo Kid on August 10.

WWE has listed Roman Reigns, Oba Femi, Seth Rollins, Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Sol Ruca, and Penta as featured superstars for the August 17 Raw in Buffalo. The promotion also announced that the OTC will return to programming next week as the Bloodline storyline resumes its prominence on the show.

Money in the Bank remains scheduled as the next premium live event after SummerSlam 2026, set for October 10, 2026, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. For August 17, Raw will be live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo where Jey Uso is expected to deliver Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns and the World Heavyweight No. 1 Contender tournament will stage Rey Fénix vs El Fiscal and Dragon Lee vs El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.; the winners will advance to the semifinals en route to producing Reigns’ challenger for the September 14 Raw in Mexico City.
