Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn: head-to-head ahead of November 2026 Crown Jewel

Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn are scheduled to meet at WWE's November 2026 Premium Live Event, where the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship will be contested. The match renews a long-running relationship that has included alliance, betrayal and renewed rivalry within The Bloodline.

Zayn was introduced as the Honorary Uce in The Bloodline and supported Roman Reigns’ faction until their fallout early in 2023, which included a moment when Zayn betrayed Reigns. Reigns goes into the November bout as the current World Heavyweight Champion, while Zayn is the Undisputed WWE Champion on SmackDown.

Both men have been praised for their recent runs and have retained their respective titles for stretches; Reigns maintained an unbeaten record throughout 2026, while Zayn suffered some unexpected losses in tag team matches but retained his title even after Money in the Bank 2026 PLE. The upcoming encounter will be their third televised meeting and eighth overall when non-televised live events are included.

In singles competition the pair have met seven times, with Reigns victorious on each occasion; only two of those singles matches were broadcast on television. That record stood at 7-0 in favor of Reigns through October 2026.

Their first singles meeting took place at a live event in Quezon City, Philippines, on September 20, 2019, a match won by Reigns. He followed that with wins in the next two singles meetings, which occurred in Shanghai, China, and Honolulu, Hawaii on the following two days.

The first televised singles match between them occurred on the December 3, 2021 edition of SmackDown; Zayn had earned the right to challenge for the Universal Championship, but Brock Lesnar assaulted him before the contest and, once the bell rang, Reigns speared Zayn and forced him to tap out of the Guillotine Choke in a contest that took around 15 seconds. Their next high-profile singles meeting saw Zayn challenge Reigns for the Undisputed Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber 2023 in Montreal, where Zayn, despite strong crowd support in his hometown, lost after The Bloodline interfered.

Reigns added two more non-televised singles wins over Zayn at live events in Toronto on March 4, 2023, and in Kansas City on October 14, 2023; those victories extended his singles winning streak against Zayn to seven and left the Kansas City meeting as their last recorded singles encounter. The scheduled November 2026 Premium Live Event will therefore be their third televised meeting and eighth overall, with the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship on the line.
