Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and Edmilson to feature in Kochi exhibition on Sept 23

Former Brazilian football stars Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and Edmilson will play in an exhibition match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on September 23, organisers said. The game between India and Brazil is being organised by Gammen Sports & Entertainment as part of the Return of the Titan series.

The Indian side will include I.M. Vijayan, Jo Paul Ancheri, C.K. Vineeth, N.P. Pradeep, K.T. Chacko and Arnab Mondal. At a press conference in Kochi on Saturday, the match’s brand ambassador Boby Chemmanur said it was also an opportunity to spread the message of football addiction against drug addiction. R.A.V. Charles Daniel, CEO, Gammen Sports & Entertainment, also spoke. Tickets for the match are available through the District app.

Organisers have presented the fixture as part of the Return of the Titan series and have named the roster of former Indian players expected to take part. The inclusion of Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and Edmilson completes the announced list of former Brazil stars due to appear in Kochi.

Details on ticketing and event access were confirmed at the local press conference, with sales directed through the District app and further remarks delivered by Gammen’s chief executive.

The exhibition match will be held on September 23 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.
