Rwanda signs 10-year deal to bring Formula 1 back to Africa after 37 years

Formula 1 will return to Africa after 37 years as Rwanda signed a 10-year deal to host a Grand Prix, a report published on October 13, 2026 said.

A specially designed track will be constructed near Kigali.

President Paul Kagame celebrated the milestone.
